Mission and Creed

I am a genius! Why? Because my mind and heart are open
                         to learn and teach with
                         imagination, thought, hard work,
                         listening skills and curiosity.
I am a genius! Why? Because I show gratitude to the
                         Creator for the gifts of our
                         ancestors, my parents, the
                         Universe and myself.
I am a genius! Why? Because I cultivate my natural
                         beauty and inborn skills while
                         developing new beauty and skills.
I am a genius! Why? Because I show care for the
                         present generation and
                         responsibility to the younger
                         generations.
I am a genius! Why? Because I have equal love for
                         diversity and for unity, and I know
                         that peace can only come when we
                         all value all persons and all cultures
                         equally.
I am a genius! Why? Because I realize that all
                         classification is arbitrary, and seek
                         always to see the whole.
I am a genius! Why? Because I know that together we
                         can accomplish more than I
                         can accomplish alone.
I am a genius! Why? Because I take responsibility for my
                         own well-being and my own
                         education.
I am a genius! Why? Because I follow my passion and
                         calling.
I am a genius! Why? Because I know I can do anything I
                         set my mind to do.
I am a genius! Why? Because I know that love cures all,
                         conquers all, answers all, is all!
I am a genius! Why? Because I know we are all geniuses!

The Children of Color Mission is
to foster open minds and open hearts,
thereby bringing out the genius in every child,
and creating a new and better future
for the Earth and all its inhabitants.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Ratified by the United Nations in 1948

Article 26.
(1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall
be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental
stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory.
Technical and professional education shall be made
generally available and higher education shall be equally
accessible to all on the basis of merit.

(2) Education shall be directed to the full development of
the human personality and to the strengthening of respect
for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall
promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all
nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the
activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of
peace.

(3) Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of
education that shall be given to their children.

Article 27.
(1) Everyone has the right freely to participate in the
cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to
share in scientific advancement and its benefits.

(2) Everyone has the right to the protection of the moral
and material interests resulting from any scientific,
literary or artistic production of which he is the author.

Article 28.
Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in
which the rights and freedoms set forth in this
Declaration can be fully realized.

Article 29.
(1) Everyone has duties to the community in which alone
the free and full development of his personality is possible.
